Scholarships from Chevening

Outstanding students from all around the world who qualify for Chevening Scholarships are given these prestigious awards by the UK government. Awards are typically for master’s degrees that last one year. The majority of Chevening Scholarships include tuition costs, a living stipend at a specified rate (for one person), a round-trip ticket to the UK in economy class, and supplementary awards to cover necessary expenses.

 

For citizens of Canada, China (including Hong Kong), India, Japan, Pakistan, and the United States who want to pursue full-time master’s degrees in the fields of science, technology, creative industries, healthcare and medical sciences, and renewable and clean energy, the Scottish Government is offering Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships in collaboration with Scottish universities.

Each award is worth £8000 to be used towards tuition fees for the duration of 1 year of full time study.

The Commonwealth Scholarships are intended for students from developing Commonwealth countries who wants to pursue Master’s study in the UK. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).  Each Scholarship provides airfare to and from United Kingdom, tuition and examination fees, personal maintaining allowance, thesis grant (if applicable), initial arrival allowance, among others.

The Clarendon Scholarship Fund is a distinguished graduate scholarship program that awards approximately 140 new scholarships each year to qualified graduate applicants at the University of Oxford, including those who are international students. At the graduate level at the University of Oxford, Clarendon Scholarships are given out based on academic excellence and promise in all degree-granting fields. Full tuition, college fees, and a sizeable grant for living expenses are all covered by the scholarships.

University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available in the majority of Sussex Schools, and are awarded on the basis of academic performance and potential to non-EU international students who have applied for and been offered a place for eligible full-time Postgraduate Taught degrees at the University of Sussex.  The scholarship is 50% off international student tuition fee and is offered for one year.

In 2020, Bristol University is investing £500,000 to help the brightest and best international students come to the University of Bristol. Think Big Undergraduate scholarships and Think Big Postgraduate scholarships are available for courses offered at the University. The tuition fee awards range from £6,500 to £26,000.

The International Ambassador Scholarship recognizes and provides financial support for outstanding students who wish to pursue a full time undergraduate or postgraduate degree at University of West London. The scholars will act as international ambassadors for the University of West London.  Up to 50 scholarships worth up to £5,000 are available.

The University of the West of England, Bristol offers more than £100,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year.  This includes the Chancellor’s Scholarship wherein the recipient will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments. The scholarship covers the full tuition fees for one academic year.

 

International and European Union (non-UK) students may apply for Transform Together scholarships if they plan to enroll in a full-time postgraduate or undergraduate taught program at Sheffield Hallam University. For undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses during the first year of study, a fee remission of half (a 50% reduction) is provided.

Up to 42 Chancellor’s International Scholarships are given each year to the top PhD candidates by the Warwick Graduate School. International and EU students studying in any of Warwick’s academic departments are eligible for the scholarships. The scholarships come with a maintenance allowance and the complete payment of the foreign tuition.

University of Nottingham Scholarships for Developing Solutions

International students from Africa, India, or another developing Commonwealth member who desire to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Nottingham and contribute to the growth of their home nation are eligible for the Developing Solutions Scholarships. A total of 105 scholarships are given out each year, covering 50% of tuition for 75 recipients and the entire cost of tuition for 30 recipients.
